Don’t Let Austin Take You Out For The Night You Could End Up Like This
or  What Does A Mark Mason Do On His Night Off

Saturday 25th March 2022, The Plaza, Stockport, some of you will remember an item I did on the Plaza, it’s a wonderfully restored theatre, but it’s not seen anything like this before, the audience went wild.
It was the Dolly Parton Tribute Show, the artist was first class in every way, in fact if you didn’t know anything different you would say it was Dolly, now this is where it gets interesting, along with Linda, my wife, we had taken with us Bro. Peter Harding who is proud to be the present W.M. for Flixton Shepherd Eastwood Mark Lodge and his wife Julie, well we were all sat there enjoying the show, all the hit songs, Working 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You, Little Sparrow, Jolene, Here You Come Again, Coat of Many Colours and many, many, more, then it came time for that wonderful song “Islands in the Stream” which of course is a duet!
Dolly came down into the audience looking for Kenny Rogers, well with the help of a huge part of the crowd all pointing in one direction, yes you’ve guessed it, Peter was coxed up on to the stage and if you take a look at the photo’s you’ll see why, it was now the Kenny and Dolly show singing “Islands in the Stream” I heard him quietly say I can’t sing very well but believe me it was brilliant, the best piece of entertainment I’ve seen since before the Lockdown, and the way people clamoured to get a photo with Kenny (I mean Peter) after the song I think they all felt the same.
Did I fix it, well now that would be telling but if you come out with me be prepared, anything could happen, what a great nights entertainment to lift the hearts of everyone who was present, especially after all these gloomy months since the virus started. Why not check out any theatres near where you live and get out there for some live entertainment, the Plaza is online and has lots of shows for all tastes and of course a Traditional Panto.
Here's to our next Magic Mark Meeting, to see old friends and those you have yet to meet,
Stay Safe.
